1220 Sq. Ft. Insulation Upgrade with Blown In Fiberglass Insulation to R38 Level in Clovis, CA

Cheryl first learned about Tyson Energy Solutions at the Fresno Home Show in March 2024. She learned about the numerous benefits of having a properly insulated attic, so she scheduled a time for our team to come out and inspect her attic. When we did so, we discovered that her attic only contained about 5 inches of fiberglass batting, well below the R38 level recommended by Energy Star for our climate. Cheryl wanted to upgrade her insulation to reduce her heating and cooling costs and make her home a more comfortable temperature year-round.

We began the insulation upgrade by air-sealing visible leakage points in order to help prevent airflow from occurring between the attic and living spaces of the home. We also placed attic markers and took pictures both before and after the work so that we could provide proof to Cheryl that the work was completed according to our specifications. We then blew in fiberglass insulation to bring the attic up to R38.

Because of the work we did in Cheryl’s attic, she will be able to enjoy a cooler, more comfortable home during summer, a warmer home in winter, and reduced heating and cooling costs by up to 30% for as long as she resides in her home.
