Blowing In 14 Inches of Premium, Fiberglass Insulation in 1400 Sq. Ft. Home in Fresno, CA

Sharon contacted us seeking a solution to the dual problem of high cooling costs and a hot, stuffy home during the summer months. When we inspected her attic, we discovered the root of her problems: her attic only had about two inches of insulation present, and was even completely bare in some places. We determined that upgrading her insulation to an R49 level, above the Energy Star standard, was necessary.

We began by air-sealing visible leakage points with closed-cell foam to help prevent air from traveling between the attic and the home’s living spaces. We then blew in fiberglass insulation to an R49 level, or 16 inches.

because of the insulation upgrade we performed, Sharon and her family will enjoy a cooler, more comfortable home during summers, a warmer home during winters, and reduced heating and cooling costs by up to 30% for the life of their home.
