R38 Insulation Upgrade Transforms Jane’s Home Comfort and Efficiency in Reedley, CA

Jane reached out to us seeking a resolution to her home’s uncomfortable temperatures. We came out to her home and inspected the attic and found the root cause of the issue: the attic only had about 5 inches of cellulose insulation present. We determined that an R38 insulation upgrade was needed to help Jane achieve her goals of reduced energy bills and a more comfortable house.

We took the following steps to complete the R38 insulation upgrade:

• Air-sealed visible leakage points to prevent unwanted air transfer between the attic and the living space.
• Blew in new fiberglass insulation to bring the attic up to the recommended R38 level.
