Lynne reached out to Tyson because her home felt frigid in the winter and warm and stuffy in the summer. She was looking for relief from the discomfort as well as her high heating and cooling bills. We came out and inspected her attic and discovered the reason for the temperature discomfort: her attic had only 3 inches of old cellulose insulation present. There were dozens of air leakage points visible through the low insulation. We determined that a full attic restoration was necessary to help her lower her bills and make her home comfortable.

We began by vacuuming out all of the old insulation. We then cleaned and sanitized the attic using DSV sanitizer, eliminating the contaminants, irritants, and odors. We then air-sealed the attic floor to close up all of the holes, gaps, and cracks allowing airflow between the attic and the home’s living spaces. We also installed rodent-proof barriers to prevent rodents and other pests from entering the attic. Lastly, we blew in premium fiberglass insulation to an R38 level, which is Energy Star’s recommendation for our Central Valley climate.

As a result of the extensive work we did for Lynne, she will now enjoy the following benefits:

  • better indoor air quality.
  • reduced heating and cooling costs by up to 50%.
  • a warm, cozy home in winter and a cool, comfortable home in summer.
  • increased resale value of her home should she ever decide to sell it.

David learned about the Tyson Energy Solutions attic restoration process through Fresno Home Magazine. He was interested in improving his indoor air quality, home’s temperature, and heating and cooling costs. He called us for an attic inspection and when we checked out his home, we found that his attic had only 5 inches of old, dirty cellulose insulation present, which was contributing to his home being dusty and his indoor air quality being compromised. We determined that a comprehensive attic restoration was needed to help David achieve his goals.

We took the following steps to complete the attic restoration in David’s home:

  • vacuumed out the old cellulose insulation.
  • cleaned and sanitized the attic using DSV sanitizer.
  • air-sealed the attic floor including all top plates, registers, recessed lights, and plumbing and wiring penetrations.
  • installed rodent-proof barriers to prevent rodents and other pests from entering the attic.
  • blew in new fiberglass insulation to an R38 level, the Energy Star recommendation for our climate in the Fresno area.

As a result of the full attic restoration we performed, David and his family will now enjoy healthier indoor air quality, a warm home in winter and a cool home in summer, and a reduction of their heating and cooling bills by up to 50% for as long as they reside in their home.

Chad learned about Tyson Emerguy Solutions at the Fresno Home Show. He was looking to add insulation in his Porterville home because he knew that his insulation was low and it was impacting his home’s temperatures and comfort. When we came out and inspected his attic, we discovered that he indeed only had three inches of old tree bark insulation present. We determined that an insulation upgrade would be the best option for Chad to reach his goals.

We began the job by air-sealing visible leakage points to help prevent airflow between the attic and home’s living spaces. We then blew in fiberglass insulation to an R38 level, adding about 11 inches on top of his existing insulation.

As a result of the insulation upgrade, Chad will now enjoy a cooler, more comfortable home during summer, a warmer home during winter, and reduced heating and cooling costs by up to 25% for as long as he lives in his home. Should he ever decide to sell his home, the resale value will be higher than if he hadn’t had the insulation upgraded.

Regina heard about Tyson Energy Solutions from her sister, who’d gotten an attic restoration done and was thrilled with the results. Regina reached out to us, hoping to lower her heating and cooling costs and help keep her home a more comfortable temperature year-round. When we inspected her attic, we found that she only had about 3-4 inches of old, loose-fill cellulose and fiberglass batting present, with dozens of air leakage points visible. We determined that an attic restoration was just what Regina needed to help her achieve her goals.

We took the following steps in Regina’s attic restoration:

  • vacuumed out all the old cellulose loose-fill and fiberglass batting.
  • cleaned and sanitized the attic to eliminate odors, irritants, and contaminants.
  • air-sealed the attic floor including all top plates, plumbing and wiring penetrations, registers, and recessed lights.
  • installed rodent-proof barriers at potential entry points to prevent rodents and other pests from entering the attic.
  • blew in premium fiberglass insulation to an R38 level, bringing her attic up to the Energy Star-recommended level.

As a result of the work we did for Regina, her heating and cooling costs will now be slashed by up to half. Her home will stay warm and cozy in the winter and cool and comfortable in summer. Her indoor air quality will be better and she will have a higher resale value on her home should she ever decide to sell it.

Jesse learned about the benefits of a Tyson Energy Solutions attic restoration through Fresno Home Magazine. He contacted us and when we came out to inspect his attic, we discovered that his attic contained only about 3 inches of old cellulose insulation present, with dozens of air leakage points visible through the low insulation. Since Jesse wanted to reduce his heating and cooling costs and make his home more comfortable, he decided on a comprehensive attic restoration.

We took the following steps to complete the attic restoration in Jesse’s attic:

  • Vacuumed out the old insulation.
  • Air-sealed the attic floor using closed-cell foam to close up all holes, gaps, and cracks. This included top plates, wiring and plumbing penetrations, can lights, and registers.
  • Installed rodent-proof barriers to prevent rodents and other pests from entering the attic.
  • Cleaned and sanitized the attic to eliminate contaminants and irritants.
  • Blew in new fiberglass insulation to an R38 level, bringing the attic to the Energy Star-recommended level.

As a result of the work we did for Jesse, he and his family will now experience the following benefits:

  • Better indoor air quality.
  • Reduced heating and cooling costs by up to 50%.
  • A warm, cozy home in winter and a cool, comfortable home in summer.
  • A higher resale value for their home should they ever decide to sell it.
