Insulation Upgrade in 1600 Sq. Ft. Home – Adding 10 Inches of Blown In Fiberglass Insulation in Madera, CA

Jerry and Gigi reached out to us seeking a resolution to their hot and stuffy home and high cooling bills. We came out to their home and inspected their attic and found the root cause of their uncomfortable home: the attic only had about 3 inches of insulation present. We determined that an insulation upgrade was needed to help them achieve their goals of reduced bills and a more comfortable house.

We began by air-sealing visible leakage points. This helps prevent the flow of air between the attic and the home’s living spaces. Next, we blew in 10 inches of premium, fiberglass insulation, bringing the attic to the R38 level recommended by Energy Star.
