Insulation Upgrade to R38 to Help Keep the Home Cool with Blown In Fiberglass Insulation in Riverdale, CA

Alfonso was looking to reduce his heating and cooling bills and also help his home maintain a comfortable temperature. He discovered Tyson Energy Solutions from our stellar Google reviews and gave us a call. We came out and inspected his attic and found that his insulation was very low, only about 3 inches. Alfonso decided that he wanted to add more insulation on top to bring him up to an R38 level, which is what Energy Star recommends for our climate here in the Central Valley.

We started out the job by air-sealing any visible leakage points. This will assist with preventing air transfer between the attic and the home. We then blew in 11 inches of premium, fiberglass insulation. We were able to complete all of this in about 2 hours.

After adding the new insulation and bringing the attic up to current code, Alfonso will have lower heating and cooling costs by up to 30% and his home will more easily maintain a comfortable temperature year-round for as long as he resides there.
