When Dora contacted us, she complained that her home was always extremely hot during the summer and frigid during the winter. She had lived at the house for many years but had never had her attic inspected and wanted us to come out and take a look. When we did, we found that she only had about 3-4 inches of insulation and it was littered with roofing debris and rodent waste. We needed to get her attic decontaminated, air sealed, and re-insulated quickly so we took the following steps:

1. We removed the old insulation and debris.

2. We cleaned and sanitized the attic.

3. We air sealed the attic and put rodent-proof barriers up at potential entry points.

4. We blew in new, fiberglass insulation to a depth of 14 inches to bring her up to current insulation requirements.

As a result of the comprehensive attic restoration, Dora will now enjoy a more comfortable home, better indoor air quality, and lower heating and cooling costs for years to come.

Arturo contacted Tyson Energy Solutions because not only was his home cold in the winter and hot in the summer, but his two children suffered from asthma and allergies. We inspected his attic and found that his insulation was low -- only about 5-6 inches -- but also that his attic had multiple air leakage points. 

To quickly address Arturo's concerns, we took the following steps:

1. We removed all of the old, dirty insulation from his attic.

2. We cleaned and sanitized the attic.

3. We identified all air leakage points and sealed them with closed-cell foam.

4. We blew in premium, fiberglass insulation to a level of 14 inches.

Arturo and his family noticed an immediate elimination of dust in their home and an improvement of the children's asthma and allergies. Now Arturo and his family will be able to enjoy a healthier, more comfortable home and reduced heating and cooling costs for the life of their house.

Adrian contacted us because his home was already uncomfortably hot and it was only May. He knew that the hottest months of the year were just around the corner and he was eager to avoid an even hotter home and high cooling costs over the summer. We came out and inspected his attic and found that he only had about 5 inches of insulation in his attic, which is well below the Energy Star recommended 14 inches. His attic was also poorly ventilated and incredibly hot, so we decided that Adrian would be best served by adding insulation as well as a roof mount solar attic fan. 

To address Adrian's concerns, we took the following steps:

1. We blew in premium, fiberglass insulation to R49 level, which is 18 inches. This provided him with increased protection from heat flow from his attic.

2. We installed a roof mount solar fan for additional heat protection and energy savings.

As a result of Adrian's insulation upgrade and solar attic fan installation, his air conditioner will run less frequently, his home will stay cooler, and he can enjoy a more comfortable home year-round for as long as he lives in that house.
