Claudia and Chris reached out to us because their home in Fresno was struggling to stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Their HVAC system was running almost nonstop, but the house still felt uncomfortable. When we inspected their attic, we found the culprit: only about 3 inches of old cellulose insulation, which was not providing adequate thermal resistance. Additionally, there were signs of air leakage and debris buildup.
To fully restore their attic, we started by removing all the old insulation and cleaning out any debris. We then sanitized the entire space using Nisus DSV, a hospital-grade disinfectant that eliminates bacteria, viruses, and other contaminants. Next, we sealed air leaks around top plates, plumbing penetrations, and electrical openings using closed-cell foam to prevent unwanted airflow between the attic and the living spaces. We also secured potential rodent entry points to protect the attic from infestations in the future.
Once the attic was fully prepped, we installed new blown-in fiberglass insulation at an R38 level, ensuring Claudia and Chris’s home would be well-insulated year-round. This upgrade will significantly improve their indoor comfort, reduce energy bills, and enhance their home’s overall efficiency.
Now, their home stays comfortable in all seasons, and their HVAC system won’t have to work overtime, leading to long-term savings and better indoor air quality!
Arnie contacted us because his home was struggling to maintain a steady temperature, causing discomfort and high energy costs. When we inspected his attic, we found that he only had about 4 inches of old cellulose insulation—far below the recommended level for energy efficiency. The insufficient insulation was allowing heat to enter in the summer and escape in the winter, forcing his HVAC system to work harder than necessary.
To resolve this, we upgraded his attic to the Energy Star-recommended R38 level by adding premium blown-in fiberglass insulation. This high-performance insulation will help Arnie’s home maintain a more stable indoor temperature, reducing the strain on his heating and cooling system. As a result, he’ll experience a more comfortable living space and lower energy bills year-round.
With this upgrade, Arnie can now enjoy a home that stays cooler in the summer, warmer in the winter, and much more energy-efficient for years to come!
When Alana reached out to us, she was struggling with high energy bills and inconsistent indoor temperatures. After inspecting her attic, we found that her existing insulation was inadequate—only about 6 inches of fiberglass—far below the recommended level for optimal energy efficiency. This lack of insulation was allowing heat to penetrate her home during the summer and escape during the winter, making it harder for her HVAC system to maintain a comfortable temperature.
To address these issues, we upgraded her attic insulation to the Energy Star-recommended R38 level by adding premium blown-in fiberglass insulation. This upgrade not only enhances her home’s ability to retain heat in the winter and block out excessive heat in the summer but also helps reduce strain on her HVAC system, leading to lower energy costs year-round.
With her newly upgraded insulation, Alana can now enjoy a more comfortable home environment with improved energy efficiency. Plus, she’ll see savings on her heating and cooling bills for years to come!
Fernando contacted us looking for a solution to his home’s persistent temperature fluctuations and rising energy bills. After inspecting his attic, we found only 4 inches of aging cellulose insulation, which was no longer providing adequate thermal protection. This lack of insulation was allowing heat to escape in the winter and enter during the summer, making his HVAC system work overtime to maintain a comfortable indoor climate.
To solve the issue, we first removed the old, ineffective cellulose insulation and thoroughly cleaned the attic to eliminate dust and contaminants. Next, we air-sealed all potential leakage points, including top plates, wiring holes, and plumbing penetrations, ensuring that conditioned air stays inside the living space. Proper air sealing is crucial for maximizing energy efficiency and reducing HVAC strain.
With the attic prepped, we installed premium blown-in fiberglass insulation to the Energy Star-recommended R38 level. This upgrade significantly improves the home’s ability to retain heat in the winter and block excessive heat in the summer, creating a much more comfortable and energy-efficient living environment.
Thanks to this insulation upgrade, Fernando will now enjoy lower energy bills, a consistently comfortable home, and improved HVAC performance for years to come!
Orin reached out to us because his home was struggling to stay cool during Fresno’s intense summer heat. Despite running his air conditioner frequently, the indoor temperature remained inconsistent, and his energy bills were soaring. Upon inspecting his attic, we discovered the root of the problem: only 4 inches of old, inefficient cellulose insulation, along with dust and debris that were contributing to poor indoor air quality and energy loss.
To restore Orin’s attic and improve his home’s overall efficiency, we started by removing all the existing insulation and thoroughly cleaning the space. We then sanitized the attic using Nisus DSV, a powerful disinfectant that eliminates bacteria, viruses, and allergens. Next, we meticulously sealed air leaks around top plates, plumbing penetrations, and wiring holes to prevent conditioned air from escaping into the attic. Additionally, we sealed off any potential rodent entry points to safeguard the attic from future infestations.
With the space cleaned and air-sealed, we installed brand-new, high-performance blown-in fiberglass insulation, bringing it up to the recommended R38 level. This upgrade will help regulate indoor temperatures year-round, ensuring Orin’s home stays cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter—all while reducing his energy costs.
Thanks to this attic restoration, Orin will enjoy a healthier, more comfortable home with improved energy efficiency for years to come!
