The homeowner contacted us because he was seeking a resolution to his high cooling costs and hot, uncomfortable home. We came out and inspected his attic and found that he only had about 4 inches of insulation present, well below the Energy Star-recommended level for our climate in the Central Valley. We determined that an insulation upgrade was needed to help him achieve a cooler, more comfortable home while also reducing his cooling bills.

We began by air-sealing visible leakage points using closed-cell foam to help prevent the ability of air to flow between the hot attic and the living spaces of the home. We then blew in 10 inches of premium, fiberglass insulation, bringing the home up to the R38 level recommended by Energy Star.

As a result of the insulation upgrade, this homeowner and his family will enjoy reduced heating and cooling costs by up to 30%, a cooler home during summer, and a warmer home during winter for the life of their home.

Matt contacted us because he was seeking a resolution for his hot, uncomfortable home. Because he was constantly running his air conditioner to try to mitigate the heat, his cooling bills were incredibly high. When we inspected his attic, we discovered that he only had about 3-4 inches of insulation present, but his attic was bare in many areas. We determined that an insulation upgrade was needed to help him keep his home cool and also reduce his cooling bills. Matt specifically requested cellulose insulation.

We began by air-sealing visible leakage points to help prevent the flow of air between the attic and the living spaces of the home. We then blew in cellulose insulation to an R49 level, or 14 inches.

As a result of the insulation upgrade we performed, Matt and his family will enjoy a cool, comfortable home in the summer, a warmer home during winters, and reduced heating and cooling costs by up to 30% for as long as they live in the home.

Elsa contacted Tyson because she was looking to add insulation to a 255-square-foot area of her home. Because the square footage was so small, we were able to get to Elsa’s home the same day she called, inspect her attic, and blow in the insulation all within a few hours. She had virtually no insulation in the room she wanted addressed, and as a result, it was incredibly hot during the summer, which was causing her cooling bills to be high.

We began the insulation upgrade by air-sealing visible leakage points to help prevent the flow of air between the attic and the home’s living spaces. Next, we blew in premium, Knauf fiberglass insulation to a height of 13 inches, or R38, bringing the home up to the Energy Star-recommended level.

As a result of the work we performed, that space in her home will transform from hot and stuffy to cool and comfortable, and will also be warmer during winter as well.

Karyn contacted us because she was looking to reduce her air conditioning bill. She said that she felt like her AC was running constantly, yet her house never felt cool and comfortable. She had a friend who’d had a whole house fan installed and loved it, and she wanted to do the same. We came out and inspected her attic and found the perfect spot to install the fan.

We also checked her attic ventilation to ensure it was sufficient to exhaust the hot air from the home. After we installed the fan, we demonstrated to Karyn how to use the fan’s three-speed timer remote.

As a result of our whole house fan installation, Karyn and her family will now enjoy a cool, comfortable home during hot months and better indoor air quality. And since Tyson installed the fan, any issues that arise in the next 15 years will be serviced call, free-of-charge. We will also deal with any warranty claims that come up.

Henry reached out to us because he urgently needed an attic restoration performed. He was in the midst of having his roof replaced and had his attic exposed. Because it was going to rain on Thursday of that week, we came out and inspected the attic and were able to get started on the job the same day.

We began by removing all of the old insulation in the attic. We then meticulously air-sealed all leakage points. This included top plates, registers, recessed lights, and wiring and plumbing penetrations. We then applied spray foam to the attic, providing additional sealing and r-value to the attic space. We then added R19 batting and blown-in fiberglass insulation. The roofers were then able to close up the attic before the rain came, saving Henry thousands of dollars in repairs had the job not been completed on time.

As a result of the extensive work we did, Henry and his family will enjoy a cooler, more comfortable home during summer, a warmer home in winter, reduced heating and cooling costs up to 50%, better indoor air quality, and a quieter home for as long as they live there.
