We elevated the insulation thickness from just 6 inches to a substantial 14 inches. This substantial upgrade ensures maximum energy efficiency and brings unparalleled comfort to your home. Revel in the remarkable difference this enhanced insulation will make in optimizing your space!

The homeowner contacted Tyson Energy Solutions because of his concern over rising energy costs and the fact that his home had been so hot in prior years. Because of the cost associated with running his HVAC system in his large home, he knew he needed to take action before the summer hit in Clovis. We came out and inspected his attic and found that it only had batting insulation, which is not effective for preventing hot attic air from traveling into the living spaces of the home. We determined that an insulation upgrade was needed to achieve his goals of a more energy and cost-efficient home.

We achieved the Energy Star-recommended R38 level by blowing in premium fiberglass insulation to a height of 14 inches. Because it was blown in, it fills all of the nooks and crannies which were present with the batting insulation that he had. We also air-sealed visible air leakage points to help prevent air from traveling between the attic and the living spaces of the home.

As a result of the insulation upgrade that we performed, the homeowner and his family will be able to enjoy a cooler, more comfortable home in the summer, a warmer home in the winter, and reduced heating and cooling costs for the life of their house.

The homeowner contacted us because her home was extremely hot and it was expensive to run her air conditioner in her 3300 square foot home. She was eager to find a way to reduce her cooling costs. When we inspected her attic, we found that she only had about 4-5 inches of old, dirty, cellulose insulation in her attic. Not only was this insufficient to keep her home insulated and cool during the summer months, but it was also creating a lot of dust in the home. We determined that a full attic restoration was the best option to address her needs.

We began by sucking out all of the old, cellulose insulation and disposing of it. We then cleaned and sanitized the attic using DSV sanitizer to eliminate contaminants and irritants. Next, we thoroughly sealed air leakage points such as top plates, registers, recessed lights, and plumbing and wiring penetrations. During this process, we also installed rodent-proof barriers at potential entry points to prevent rodents and other animals from entering the attic. Lastly, we blew in 14 inches of fiberglass insulation, bringing the attic up to the Energy Star-recommended R38 level of protection.

As a result of our attic restoration, Nora and her husband will enjoy a cooler home during summer, a warmer home during winter, much less dust in the home, and reduced heating and cooling costs by up to 50% for as long as they live in the house.

Stephanie contacted us to inspect her attic for insulation level and also to clean her HVAC duct because every time she ran her AC, she could see dust coming from the registers. She hadn’t had her HVAC ducts cleaned in years and she was concerned about losing efficiency because of it. She noted that her house also felt hot and stuffy during the summers, and she wanted to reduce her high energy bills. When we inspected her attic, we found that there was only about 4 inches of insulation present, and the attic was littered with debris. We determined that a comprehensive attic restoration and air duct cleaning was needed to help Stephanie.

We began by sucking out all of the old, contaminated insulation. Next, we used DSV sanitizer to clean and sanitize the attic to eliminate contaminants and irritants. We then thoroughly sealed the leakage points where air could travel between the attic and the living spaces of the house. We also installed rodent-proof barriers to prevent rodents and other pests from being able to access the attic space. Once fully sealed, we blew in premium, fiberglass insulation to an R38 level, bringing the attic up to Energy Star recommendations. Lastly, we cleaned Stephanie’s air ducts using RamAir Duct Cleaner, blasting the dust, dirt, and other contaminants out.

As a result of the attic restoration and air duct cleaning, Stephanie will enjoy better indoor air quality, reduced heating and cooling costs by up to 50%, and a more comfortable home year-round for as long as she lives there.

Chris contacted us because he was interested in getting a whole house fan. He saw us in Fresno Home Magazine and was intrigued at the prospect of reducing his cooling costs by up to 90% while also making his home feel immediately cooler by 5-10 degrees. When we inspected his attic, we found that we were able to install a QuietCool whole house fan, but his insulation was also low, contributing to his HVAC inefficiency and high cooling costs. We determined that an insulation upgrade and whole house fan installation were the solution to his home comfort issues.

We began by identifying the ideal location to place the QuietCool Stealth Pro 7.0 and installed it. Simultaneously, we sealed visible leakage points using closed-cell foam to mitigate the flow of air between the attic and the living spaces of the home. We then blew in fiberglass insulation to a height of 14 inches, bringing the resistance to heat flow to an R38 level. This is the Energy Star-recommended level for our climate.

As a result of the insulation upgrade and whole house fan installation, Chris and his family will enjoy reduced cooling costs by up to 90%, reduced heating costs by up to 30%, and a more comfortable home year-round for the life of their house.
