Matthew reached out to us because his home was hot and stuffy and he wanted to make it more comfortable and also reduce his monthly cooling costs. We came out and took a look at his attic and discovered that he only had about 4 inches of insulation present. Matthew decided to have us do an insulation upgrade to help achieve his goals.
We began by air-sealing visible leakage points. This helps prevent the flow of air between the attic and the home’s living spaces. We then blew in 9 inches of premium, fiberglass insulation to bring the attic to an R38 level, the recommended level for our climate.
As a result of the work we performed, Matthew home will be cooler and more comfortable during the summer months, warmer during winter, and he will enjoy reduced heating and cooling costs by up to 30% for as long as he lives in that home.
Alan contacted us because we had done insulation work for him in the past, and now he was interested in having a whole house fan installed. He wanted to make his home even cooler and more comfortable and reduce his air conditioning costs.
We came out to his home and installed the QuietCool Stealth Pro 5.5 whole house fan in the ideal location in his attic. We ensured that his attic had proper ventilation to exhaust the hot air and then showed Alan how to use the fan with the 3-speed timer remote.
Because Tyson installed the fan, any service, repairs, or replacements will be covered by us, free-of-charge. Alan and his family will now enjoy a cooler, more comfortable home during summers and reduced cooling costs by up to 90%.
Ray contacted Tyson because his home was uncomfortably warm in the summer. He was looking to make his home more comfortable while also reducing his cooling costs. When we came out and inspected his attic, we found that he only had 3 inches of insulation present. We determined that an insulation upgrade and whole house fan installation would best help Ray meet his goals.
We began by instilling the QuietCool Stealth Pro 7.0 whole house fan and showing Ray how to use the wireless, three-speed remote. We then air-sealed visible leakage points with closed-cell foam to help prevent airflow between the attic and the home’s living spaces. Lastly, we blew in fiberglass insulation to an R38 level, bringing his attic to the Energy Star-recommended level of insulation.
As a result of the work we did, Ray will experience a cool, comfortable home during summer, a warm home in winter, and reduced heating and cooling costs — up to 90% during the summer!
The homeowner contacted us because her home felt incredibly hot, which caused her to run her air conditioner constantly, leading to high cooling costs. We came out and inspected her attic and found the cause: there was only about 3 inches of dirty insulation in her attic, as well as a lot of debris. There was also evidence of rodent activity in the attic. When we showed the pictures to the homeowner, she decided to do a full attic restoration.
We performed the attic restoration by extracting and disposing of the old, cellulose insulation. We then cleaned and sanitized the attic using Nisus DSV sanitizer, which is a concentrated disinfectant and sanitizer that kills a broad spectrum of viruses, bacteria, and fungi. We then pinpointed all areas where air leakage could occur — top plates, wire and plumbing penetrations, and registers — and sealed those areas with closed-cell foam. By sealing the attic, air is prevented from flowing between the attic and the home’s living spaces. We also installed barriers at any potential rodent entry points to prevent them from accessing the attic. We cleared the soffit vents to ensure improved ventilation of the attic space.
Once the attic had been cleaned and air-sealed, we blew in 14 inches of premium, fiberglass insulation, bringing the attic up to the Energy Star recommended R38 level.
As a result of our attic restoration, not only will the homeowner and her family experience a more comfortable home, but better indoor air quality and lower heating and cooling bills for the life of the home.
The homeowner called Tyson Energy Solutions because even though he had a whole house fan, but he still felt his home was hot during the summer months. We inspected his attic and found that his insulation was lacking; he only had about 8 inches, well below the Energy Star recommended 14 inches. Knowing that the hottest parts of the summer were upcoming, we decided to perform an insulation upgrade to protect his home from the extreme summer heat of the Central Valley.
We increased the level of insulation in the attic by blowing in premium, Johns Manville fiberglass insulation to a depth of 14 inches. We also sealed holes, gaps, and cracks in the attic to prevent air from leaking between the attic and the living spaces of the home.
As a result of the insulation upgrade, this homeowner and his family can now enjoy a more comfortable home and lower heating and cooling costs year-round for as long as they live in their home.
