Attic Insulation - Removing Old Insulation as Part of an Attic Restoration in Fresno, CA

This video shows the process of removing old, contaminated insulation from an attic as step one in an attic restoration. We remove the old insulation so that we remove contaminants, are able to clean and sanitize the attic, and then air seal any holes, gaps, and cracks. These are found in every home due to plumbing and wiring penetrations, top plates, recessed lights, and registers.

Once the attic is air-sealed, we then blow in premium, fiberglass insulation to bring the attic up to Energy Star-recommended levels.
