Attic Insulation - Attic Restoration - Insulation Removal, Air-Sealing, and Insulation Installation in Fresno, CA

Corbin contacted us because his large home was very inefficient. He was running his air conditioner constantly during the summer and his heater constantly during the winter. He was also aware of rodent activity in his attic and was concerned about the health of his family.

We came out and inspected the attic and discovered that he only had about 4 inches of old, dirty, cellulose insulation present and the attic was indeed littered with rodent droppings. We determined that an attic restoration was the best option for him to achieve a healthier, more efficient home.

We began by sucking out all of the old insulation, including the rodent droppings. We then cleaned and sanitized the attic using DSV sanitizer in order to eliminate contaminants and irritants. To prevent rodents and other pests from entering the attic again, we sealed off all entry points using rodent-proof barriers. We also air-sealed leakage points to prevent air from flowing between the attic and the home's living spaces. Lastly, we blew in premium, fiberglass insulation to an R38 level, Energy Star's recommendation for our climate.

As a result of the work we did, Corbin and his family now enjoy significantly better indoor air quality, a cool, comfortable home during summer, and they barely use their HVAC system. They will continue to experience these benefits year-round for as long as they reside in that home.
