Comprehensive Attic Restoration and QuietCool Smart Gable Attic Fan Installation in Fresno, CA

Kevin contacted us because his home felt uncomfortably warm and his air conditioner came on frequently, despite the fact that it was only May and not the Central Valley wasn't even into the hottest summer months yet. He was concerned about his home's ability to stay cool during the summer as well as the resultant cooling bills. When we came out and inspected his attic, we found that Kevin barely had any insulation in his attic, only about 3-4 inches. His attic also felt particularly hot due to improper ventilation, which was heating up his HVAC system and ducts and causing it to work overtime to attempt to cool the house. We determined that an attic restoration and installation of an attic fan was needed for him to achieve his goals.

We began by removing all of the old insulation. Next, we installed the QuietCool Smart Gable Attic Fan 3.0 to help cool his attic by automatically bringing in cooler outside air. We then cleaned and sanitized the attic using DSV sanitizer so that any contaminants and microbes were eliminated. We also located air leakage points and sealed them off using closed-cell foam. This helps to prevent the flow of air between the attic and the home's living spaces. To prevent rodents and other pests from entering the attic space during winter, we installed rodent-proof barriers at any potential entry points. Lastly, we blew in premium, fiberglass insulation to a height of 14 inches to provide the Energy Star-recommended R38 protection.

As a result of our comprehensive attic restoration and installation of the smart gable attic fan, Kevin and his family will enjoy a cooler, more comfortable house during hot months, a warmer home during winter, reduced heating and cooling costs by up to 30%, and better indoor air quality for the life of their home.

Complete Attic Restoration to Keep 2400 Sq. Ft. Home Comfortable in Fresno, CA

Matt contacted us because his house was constantly feeling cold during winter and then would get uncomfortably hot during the summer. He believed the issue was due to his insulation. With the rising cost of energy, he wanted to address the problem before summer came. We checked out his attic and found that he only had about 3-4 inches of insulation, as well as lots of roofing debris scattered throughout. We decided that a full attic restoration was just what he needed to keep his home comfortable and keep his heating and cooling costs low.

We began by sucking out all of the old insulation and disposing of it. We then cleaned and sanitized the attic using DSV sanitizer to eliminate contaminants and irritants. Next, we installed rodent-proof barriers at any potential entry points and sealed off holes, gaps, and cracks using closed-cell foam. This is done to help prevent air from flowing between the attic and the living spaces of the home. Once the attic was air-sealed, we then blew in new, premium fiberglass insulation to a depth of 14 inches. This achieved the Energy Star-recommended R38 protection.

As a result of our comprehensive attic restoration, Matt and his family will enjoy lower heating and cooling costs by up to 30%, better indoor air quality, and a more comfortable home year-round for as long as they live there.

R38 Insulation Upgrade to 14 Inches Using Blown In Fiberglass In 1800 Sq. Ft. House in Fresno, CA

Jacob contacted us because his house felt hot and stuffy. Because of this, he would turn his thermostat down to 74 degrees in an attempt to keep his house cool during the summer, but still the temperature would climb to 80 degrees in his home. When we came and inspected his attic, we saw the root problem: there was only 6 inches of insulation present, well below the R38 (14 inches) recommended by Energy Star for our climate. We decided to upgrade his insulation to R38 in order to reduce his cooling costs and get his home feeling cool and comfortable.

We began by air-sealing visible leakage points with closed-cell foam to help mitigate the flow of air between the living spaces of the home and the attic. Next we blew in fiberglass insulation to an R38 level, or 14 inches.

Because of the insulation upgrade we performed, Jacob and his family will enjoy a cooler, more comfortable home during the summer, a warmer home during winters, and reduced heating and cooling costs by up to 30% for the life of the house.

Insulation Upgrade in 1010 Sq. Ft. Section of Attic in One Story Home in Fresno, CA

Dan contacted us because his cooling bills during the summer were extremely high. His air conditioner ran constantly to try to keep up with the heat, but during the Central Valley summers, it just wasn't able to keep the home cool. When we inspected the attic, we discovered that a large portion was blocked off an inaccessible, and the portion that was accessible only had about 6 inches of insulation present. We also found a broken HVAC duct that was leaking air and many smaller ducts whose insulation had deteriorated and fallen off the ducts, leaving them exposed to the extreme attic heat. Dan decided that he wanted the insulation upgrade to an R38 level in order to help reduce his cooling costs and help his home stay cool during the summer. We also made the plan to replace the main HVAC duct and repair the smaller ducts using mastic.

We began the insulation upgrade by air-sealing visible leakage points using closed-cell foam. This is done to help keep air from traveling between the attic and the living spaces of the home. After that, we replaced the main HVAC duct and repaired the smaller ducts' insulation using mastic. Lastly, we blew in premium, fiberglass insulation to an R38 level, or 13 inches of Knauf insulation.

Because of the insulation upgrade we performed, Dan and his wife will enjoy a cool, comfortable home during summer, a warmer home during winter, and reduced heating and cooling costs by up to 25-30% for as long as they remain in that house.
