Louis contacted Tyson Energy Solutions because he was frustrated by two things: his high air conditioning bills and how hot and humid his house felt during the brutal Central Valley summers. He had been looking into a whole house fan for awhile, and he wanted to see if his house was a good candidate to benefit from one. Our home comfort expert came out to investigate and found that he would indeed benefit from a whole house fan, so we scheduled a time to install a QuietCool Stealth Pro 5.5.
After expertly installing the fan, we showed Louis how to use the three-speed timer remote and use the system effectively. Louis was pleased by how quickly the installation process went and how our installation team left his house clean when we left.
Since we installed the whole house fan, Louis's cooling bills have been reduced anywhere from 50-90% each month and his home now feels cool and fresh. He can be confident in the fan's performance over the 15-year manufacturer's warranty and the Tyson Energy Solutions lifetime workmanship guarantee.
The customer faced elevated heating and cooling bills due to having only 4 inches of insulation in the attic. Following the installation of new ductwork, the subsequent measure was to increase the insulation depth to 14 inches, aiming to optimize energy efficiency and reduce utility costs.
Attic restoration at its finest! We removed old insulation, sealed the area, and installed new R-38 fiberglass insulation. Experience a refreshed, energy-efficient attic space like never before.
Kevin contacted us because his home felt uncomfortably warm and his air conditioner came on frequently, despite the fact that it was only May and not the Central Valley wasn't even into the hottest summer months yet. He was concerned about his home's ability to stay cool during the summer as well as the resultant cooling bills. When we came out and inspected his attic, we found that Kevin barely had any insulation in his attic, only about 3-4 inches. His attic also felt particularly hot due to improper ventilation, which was heating up his HVAC system and ducts and causing it to work overtime to attempt to cool the house. We determined that an attic restoration and installation of an attic fan was needed for him to achieve his goals.
We began by removing all of the old insulation. Next, we installed the QuietCool Smart Gable Attic Fan 3.0 to help cool his attic by automatically bringing in cooler outside air. We then cleaned and sanitized the attic using DSV sanitizer so that any contaminants and microbes were eliminated. We also located air leakage points and sealed them off using closed-cell foam. This helps to prevent the flow of air between the attic and the home's living spaces. To prevent rodents and other pests from entering the attic space during winter, we installed rodent-proof barriers at any potential entry points. Lastly, we blew in premium, fiberglass insulation to a height of 14 inches to provide the Energy Star-recommended R38 protection.
As a result of our comprehensive attic restoration and installation of the smart gable attic fan, Kevin and his family will enjoy a cooler, more comfortable house during hot months, a warmer home during winter, reduced heating and cooling costs by up to 30%, and better indoor air quality for the life of their home.
Matt contacted us because his house was constantly feeling cold during winter and then would get uncomfortably hot during the summer. He believed the issue was due to his insulation. With the rising cost of energy, he wanted to address the problem before summer came. We checked out his attic and found that he only had about 3-4 inches of insulation, as well as lots of roofing debris scattered throughout. We decided that a full attic restoration was just what he needed to keep his home comfortable and keep his heating and cooling costs low.
We began by sucking out all of the old insulation and disposing of it. We then cleaned and sanitized the attic using DSV sanitizer to eliminate contaminants and irritants. Next, we installed rodent-proof barriers at any potential entry points and sealed off holes, gaps, and cracks using closed-cell foam. This is done to help prevent air from flowing between the attic and the living spaces of the home. Once the attic was air-sealed, we then blew in new, premium fiberglass insulation to a depth of 14 inches. This achieved the Energy Star-recommended R38 protection.
As a result of our comprehensive attic restoration, Matt and his family will enjoy lower heating and cooling costs by up to 30%, better indoor air quality, and a more comfortable home year-round for as long as they live there.
