1250 Sq. Ft. Home gets R49 Insulation Upgrade with Blown In Fiberglass Insulation in Fresno, CA

Lynn contacted Tyson because she was frustrated by her high heating and cooling costs and her home being hot during summer and frigid during winter. When we came out and inspected her attic, we found that she only had about 8-9 inches of old batting insulation present. Batting insulation has a lower r-value than blown-in fiberglass, so her attic insulation was insufficient for our climate. We determined that an insulation upgrade would best help Lynn achieve her goals.

We began by air-sealing any visible leakage points with closed-cell foam to help prevent airflow between the attic and the living spaces of the home. We then blew in premium fiberglass insulation to an R49 level, which exceeds the Energy Star recommendation for our climate.

The insulation upgrade that we performed will ensure that her home is cooler and more comfortable during summer, and warmer in winter, and her heating and cooling costs will be reduced by up to 30% for as long as she resides in that home.

R49 Insulation Upgrade from 2 Inches to 16 Inches in 1600 Sq. Ft. Home in Fresno, CA

Charlene reached out to Tyson during the winter because her house was frigid. Her heater was constantly running in an attempt to keep her home warm, but was insufficient. Charlene started researching insulation companies and discovered Tyson Energy Solution through our hundreds of 5-star Google reviews. She called us and we came out to inspect her attic where we found that there was only 2 inches of insulation present. She decided to upgrade her insulation to R49, which is higher than the Energy Star recommendation for our climate.

We started the project by air-sealing visible leakage points. We then blew in 14 inches of premium, fiberglass insulation to bring her attic up to R49. The upgrade only took 2 hours.

As a result of the work we completed, Charlene will now enjoy a warmer, cozier home in winter, a cooler, more comfortable home in summer, and reduced heating and cooling costs by up to 30% for as long as she lives in the home.

R38 Insulation Upgrade in 400 Sq. Ft. Garage with Blown In Fiberglass in Fresno, CA

Mike found us through our hundreds of 5-star Google reviews and asked us to install insulation in the attic above his garage. Because he spent a lot of time in there, he wanted it to be a comfortable temperature. He told us that there was currently no insulation up there, which we confirmed when we came out and inspected his attic.

We blew in premium fiberglass insulation to an R38 level, bringing the attic above the garage to the Energy Star-recommended level for our Central Valley climate.

As a result of the work we did, Mike's garage will now be able to maintain a comfortable temperature, which will make his time spent in his garage much more enjoyable.

R38 Insulation Upgrade with Blown In Fiberglass Insulation After Whole House Fan Installation in Fresno, CA

Jeff contacted us because we had installed a whole house fan for him but as it was getting closer to summer, he wanted to upgrade his insulation. We had informed him that his insulation was low when we installed the whole house fan in January, but he wanted to upgrade his insulation at a later date. When we initially inspected his attic, we observed that his insulation was low -- only about 4 inches. He knew from our previous visit that upgrading his insulation would keep the cool air in his house longer and reduce his dependency on his air conditioner during the summer.

We began the insulation upgrade by sealing off visible holes, gaps, and cracks. This helps to prevent air from flowing between his attic and the living spaces of his home. Next, we blew in premium, fiberglass insulation up to an R38 level, or 14 inches.

As a result of the insulation upgrade, Jeff and his family will enjoy a cooler, more comfortable home during summers, a warmer home during winters, and reduced heating and cooling costs for the life of their home.

QuietCool Stealth Pro 5.5 Installation in 1900 Sq. Ft. Home in Fresno, CA

Terri contacted us because her house felt hot and stuffy during the summer, and she wanted to see if we would be able to install a whole house fan for her. When we inspected her attic, we found that we would be able to install the whole house fan, but we also saw that her insulation was extremely low -- only about 2-3 inches, well below the 14 inches recommended by Energy Star. We determined that we could upgrade her insulation and install the whole house fan to help keep Terri's home cool and comfortable.

We began by blowing in premium, fiberglass insulation to bring the attic to the recommended R38 level of resistance to heat transfer. Simultaneously, we located the ideal spot for the fan and installed it. We also air-sealed visible leakage points using closed-cell foam in order to prevent air from traveling between the attic and the living spaces of the home.

As a result of the insulation upgrade and whole house fan installation, Terri will enjoy a cooler, more comfortable house during summer, reduced cooling costs by up to 90%, and reduced heating costs during winter. Her indoor air quality will also be greatly improved. She will experience these benefits for as long as she lives in that home.
